Experience

Born in North Macedonia in 1988, when it was still part of Yugoslavia, Dino has been immersed in art from a young age. Although he initially took painting classes as a child, Dino chose to pursue graphic design over formal art training, a decision that gave him a unique, contemporary perspective and a geometric flair that continues to define his work.

With a professional background in design, Dino’s initial artistic approach was spontaneous, yet he has recently embraced a more detailed, precise style—a shift that resonates with his personality and love for intricate work. LGBT themes frequently appear in his paintings, subtly challenging the conservative values of his upbringing.

Mind Shape

In 2023, Dino began developing a deeply personal project titled Mind Shape. This series offers an intimate view of his internal landscape, capturing the chaos and clarity, the vibrant and subdued, the sharp and gentle aspects of his mind. The shapes within these works, marked by cuts and dips, mirror Dino’s life journey, symbolizing his highs and lows, moments of struggle, and joy. Working on Mind Shape has provided a therapeutic outlet, allowing him to silence daily distractions and lose himself in his art.

Recently, Dino has drawn increasing inspiration from the human form, blending portraits with abstract shapes. This new dimension reflects his fascination with people and brings added depth to his compositions.

Style

Dino’s painting style reflects his background in graphic design, characterized by clean lines, structured boundaries, and balanced forms within a restrained color palette. Occasionally, spontaneous brushstrokes disrupt this control, creating dynamic contrasts within his work. His forms are grounded and stable, yet the compositions capture a sense of expressive freedom that reveals Dino’s layered creative process.
